mike mentzers hit training overview
mike mentzer and.the hit technique is and will be the most controversial and ground breaking training program you will ever encounter. there are very few people im the country, who can teach the hit principles the way that they actually work. that is where people fail on lifting with the hit principles and why people have to fly in from all over the country to train with me on hit.The main important technique that mike was trying to get across is this. think about working out. how much time do you spend wasting sitting between sets not moving just waiting for the next set. thats a waste of muscle intensity. you onky lifting weights for a total of 30-45 min in a 90-120 min workout. so why not break all that work into a 40 min or less time frame. 2 things cause anabolism , overload principle and explosive intervals. what hit is, is just a name for explosive intervals. thats what mike what missing in his teaching. that simple statement i just made links al his teaching and training to something that has scientific proof behind it.The only reason why i will continie to call this hit is because i have so much respect for mike. A philosopher never dies as long as his ideals are still present. But i also have to give some type of tribute to john defendis because he is one of the first who took high intensity and linked the two with overload principles.
so basically your body adapts to the way you work out. very quickly, people with good genetics grow just from picking up a dumbell , people with lesser will take more time to produce muscle. the 2 ways of making your body grow is speed and duration. meaning u can increase weight loads to increase work load. or you can increase work speed (hit) to increase overload principles with out even lifting a heavier weight. like all greay thinkers mike was so far ahead of his time. he was scoffed at. and made fun of. the sad thing was he was right. so right that even channel 2 has programs showing how 6 seconds of working out a day at the highest output can make your body healthier.
How the hell did he find this out. simple when you have an open mind you can do anything. i found my self in a similar place mike had. i was never as ffamous a bodybuilder as mike. But i have gone through what he did.Being told your wrong when you know your right sucks. getting jipped in competitions another huge let down.
